Amphibian Man announced for PS3, PC

KDV Games has announced development of Amphibian Man for Sony PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows; an RPG title based on the Alexander Belyaev novel of the same name.

Set in the XXI century, scientists have made a radical breakthrough, allowing humans to survive underwater indefinitely without the aid of any specialised equipment. This revolutionary discovery soon changed civilisation forever, with mankind desperate to explore the oceans many secrets.

However, these discoveries soon exacerbate old conflicts, resulting in impending global war where civilisation is danger of collapse. Your character and his team must explore futuristic worlds whilst attempting to crack a conspiracy fuelled by rogue scientists, religious cults and even governments in an effort to put a stop to the corruption once and for all.

    Never ever heard of KDV Games or Amphibian man. But I like games based on books! They always seem more thought through.

    LOL at the name... it could be a cool game but first i was like WTF XD when i saw the name :p haha nice .. in either case it does sound interesting when you read through it. Hopefully (even though the novel was called the same) they will change the name to attract a larger audience.

    sounds awesome, i love imersive plots and unusual storylines like this! already sounding a bit like bio shock, which isnt a bad thing!

    Amphibian Man is a very old book.So I think setting in this game must be like in Bioshock ;)

    Never heard of this developer so I doubt it's going to be anything big budget, but like someone else said: No 360 = higher quality.

    looks like they do decent RTS games from the links provided by Kira. I don't know if they have the chops to really produce a "next gen" title but I'm willing to wait and see. I mean the story is already wirtten for the most oart they just have to come up with compelling graphics and game play. Their low profile might hurt the level of excitement over the game so maybe they should invest in better marketing before the game is release to drum up some more buzz.

    @ NYFAN Amphibian Man was published in 1928. Aquaman didn't appear till 1941 or aquaman is the rip off. I did like the novel so hopefully the game turns out alright

    the  only way i might purchase it if its a MMORPG why the "heck" ....??? my PS3 does not have one yet

    I'm with Morganator, no 360 version just means a better game.  I'm liking all the third party support thats coming out in '08 for Sony.  Finally!!

    GREAT SYNOPSIS for a game. sounds kinda cheesy, but color me intrigued!
