Sony is really pushing a more connected cross-platform gaming experience with its recent announcement concerning the new Assassin’s Creed games for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable.
New gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed 2 for the PS3 was showcased at Sony’s E3 press conference today. It was announced that you’ll be able play Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines for the PSP to unlock content for AC2, just like Resistance: Retribution does for Resistance 2.
The footage shown at the conference featured a new protagonist, Ezio, who looks strikingly similar to Altair. While Ezio possesses alot of the moves seen in the original game, he also has some new tricks up his sleeves -- quite literally. We saw him take down two guards simultaneously using his double blades. He also used a smoke bomb to flee from enemies.
Both Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines will be available this holiday season.
