Cloud, Sephiroth confirmed for Dissidia: Final Fantasy

Square Enix has confirmed that globe-straddling Final Fantasy VII antagonists Cloud Strife and Sephiroth will be playable in the fan-friendly butt-kicker Dissidia: Final Fantasy. The news comes to us care of Japanese magazine Shonen Jump via Gamekyo.

We're struggling to be surprised, to be honest - the publisher would have faced no end of forum mauling had it kicked out a Final Fantasy compilation without old Blonde 'n' Spikey and his prematurely-grey adversary.

But even were this iconic duo to miss the boat, Dissidia: Final Fantasy would remain an enticing prospect. Slated for release on PlayStation Portable in Japan on December 18, the game lets you pit heroes and villains from Final Fantasies past against one another in 3D arena combat.

     this is old, at least for me i already saw some of the trailers that had sephiroth in them 

    still cant for this title though

    wow .. just how many Final Fantasy characters are they planning to add to this game ... its like "Super Smash brother Brawl" but on FF world ...  i love it

     cant wait i had to sell my psp a while back to pay for some bills im just waiting for the 3000 to come out in black in canada

    old news.

    i wonder if cloud design will be more like the ff7 advt children costume or from  the original game??

    its more obvious square will put the original costume design.

    @8 Yes Cloud is back in original form, with the large spike n all.
