EXCLUSIVE: Playfire & Sony reveal official PSN Portable ID

Playfire.com, a social network for gamers, has today revealed the new official PlayStation "Portable ID" in collaboration with Sony. The new widget is designed to enable you to showcase your PSN details and Trophies around the web via embeddable code.
The official Portable ID will be synchronized with the official PlayStation website and will automatically update your Trophy count, which we are sure many will be pleased to hear.
The new Portable ID features your Trophy level, total number of Trophies, your last three most recently played games, and a breakdown of Trophies by type (bronze, silver, gold and platinum), in addition to the old features such as PSN avatar, Online ID, current mood and more.

Does it update the trophies by itself or is it another lame one were you add the trophies by yourself and so many fakers crop up
EDIT: ah wait I read it autoupdates over at the playfire guys, kudos to SCEE for getting something epicly right for a change xD, anyways I think you should mention that fact in this news

Story title's a bit confusing, "PSN Portable ID" would work better otherwise people think it's trophies for PSP.

Finally. I been asking for them 2 to work something out to get some unity. Really sony should buy up Playfire.com and make it a Sony Playstation Social network.

Is no one trepiditious about logging into a non Sony site (Playfire) with your PSN ID and password? Couldn't someone use that info to get into your account. I'm not saying anyone at Playfire would, but why should I trust these guys?

That's why I like about my 360 Gamertag. My info. is carried across Live/360/Zune/Etc... It would be great for their to be an application that shows your stats along everything:)

tried and tried and tried, but it does not work, still no email confirming so i dont hold out much hope on this thing updating when it is up and running, think we will have to wait for the official sony portable ID for this UPDATE: checked out playfire thismorning and it looks like they are back peddaling somewhat as you cant even create one now, the only option is to be notified as to when the service will be available, come on Sony push out the official one.

am i the only one that doesnt see the point of this. seriously what the is the point if you want to see your trophies look on your ps3 instead of going to some website. and if you get one to put it in your signiture thats just makes u a no life lame a**
